It is with great pleasure and my honor to be the selected as the second president of AAHRS. I have been practicing hair restoration in surgery in Korea since 1996. In 1999, I attended the 7th annual (my first) ISHRS meeting in San Francisco and was surprised to see that there were so many informative presentations about hair surgery. Since this time, I have attended the annual event each year and began to notice that most of these talks were focused towards the Caucasian patient. Therefore, I saw a need to establish an Asian hair society for Asian doctors and patients....
